Nearly every day on our way home from work (we travel together) my husband asks this question: "What do you think we'll have for dinner tonight?" What he actually means is: "What do you plan to make for dinner tonight?"
Don't get me wrong, I like to cook and bake and I LOVE to eat, but coming up with something different is always a challenge. Generally, I fall back on my usual 10 or 12 favorite recipes.
This month, Caroline Feightner, JM's design editor, and I kick off a brand new food feature we are calling Dueling Spoons. Each month, the two of us will make a different dish, take pictures, offer advice, and a recipe for you to try. Our choices will probably be very different as I tend not to count calories nor worry as much about healthy cooking, while Caroline is very health conscious and will provide interesting alternatives to the usual fare.
This is going to stretch me, but I am excited about it. The husband is encouraged as well. I think he was getting a bit tired of the same ole, same ole.
